Man, 19, stabbed in Chafford Hundred

A TEENAGER has been released from hospital after he was stabbed on Saturday night.

The 19-year-old was with a friend on Drake Road at around 9.15pm when the pair were approached by a gang of five men.

One, who had a knife, stabbed the man in his side.

Following the attack, the gang ran off down the cycle path towards Tesco. The teenager was treated in hospital and released on Monday.

One of the suspects has been described by police as a black six foot tall male, of skinny, muscular build and aged between 18 and 19 years old. At the time of the attack, he was wearing grey skinny jeans with a pair of grey Nike Air Max trainers and a green Khaki camouflage parka-style jacket.
 

A  second suspect has been described as a black 16-year-old male of skinny build with short hair, dressed in black jogging bottoms, a shiny black puffer coat which had a hood.

The other three gang members have been described by police as black males of a similar age.
 

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Grays CID on 101.

A mugging where the victim loses an eye, a house burned out by an arsonist, a murder in a town center supermarket car park and now a stabbing. All of these in a couple of months and within a few miles of each other. Police foot patrols after dark seem a good idea?

A result of the mass influx of people whose majority cannot behave in a civilised society. Look at everywhere around the Country or even the World and see the evidence for yourselves. Hope they catch those responsible for this, but they will only get a slap on the wrist if they do catch them. So glad I got out of The Republic of Thurrock a few years ago.

A failuire to accept the real reasons behind what is going on in Thurrock isn't a black mark against the current government ThurrockResident. We've all seen the peace and harmony in the city of angels on our doorstep. Do you not accept this may be a symptom or are you another one of the three brass monkeys when it comes to accepting facts.

Unfortunately gone are the days where when people moved out of London to the suburbs and tweeked their attitudes and behaviour to their new surroundings. Now most just bring the same bad attitude with them and their children. Thurrock has positioned itself as the sole London overspill area in Essex and with that comes new residents with different ways of living to most people. Things like this will become more common like they are in London.

Having said that, I hope the police work flat out to ensure that for the forseeable future this remains an isolated incident in a decent part of the borough.

i quite agree with you chaffordmum, im toying with moving away to,but why should we have to go ? ive lived here all my life and seen a lovely quiet area turn in to a slum,imagine how awfull it will be in twenty years time when the english are the minority

are the minority?

Some parts of the borough we are already.

Look at the growth a few hundred to over 10,000 in ten years. Then consider what things will be like in ten years time.

You didn't believe the hype that the new houses being built were for the sons and daughters of Thurrock dd you?

They were for the multitude of immigrants that Labour gave the open door to come here.

I left Thurrock 6 years ago and only go back to see friends....i beg anyone who still lives there to get out while you can...

They are turning it into a second class London...full of immigrants and cleansing out the locals...its a disgrace what is happening...

More and more deaths, stabbings, muggings...the town centre is dangerous and full of rubbish shops...

Every little space is built on so the council can claim council taxes to feed their pockets...

Get out now, before its too late...
