Pensioner injured in Grays crash

AN 81-YEAR old woman suffered ankle and hip injuries after being struck by a car.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision in Hogg Lane, Grays, close to the Morrisons supermarket shortly after 7.20am on Friday when a black Renault Clio was in collision with the pensioner.
She was taken to Basildon Hospital.
The car driver was unhurt. Anyone who saw the collision or who went to assist in the aftermath is asked to call Essex Police on 101.
