9:51pm
An intriguing Thurrock derby. I think East Thurrock deserved it overall, but it took an own goal from Turpin.
The win is Rocks second on the spin, but another defeat leaves Thurrocin the lurch once more.
Thank you for joining me this evening!
9:49pm
Full time results from elsewhere:
Tilbury 1 - 0 Harlow Town
Redbrige 0 - 1 Grays Athletic
Witham Town 0 - 2 Aveley
9:45pm
Grays have scored! Last minute goal at Redbrige, how big a goal could that be!
9:44pm
East Thurrock United 1 - 0 Thurrock
9:42pm
Just as Thurrock want the ball for themselves, they give away a silly free kick and Lawson takes the ball to the corner.
9:40pm
Kye Ruel booked for kicking the ball away.
9:39pm
Four minutes added on. Thurrock have five full-time strikers now but don't look any more like scoring.
Free kick now that gives Justham the chance to clear and ease some pressure.
9:36pm
Latest scores from elsewhere:
Witham 0 - 2 Aveley
Redbridge 0 - 0 Grays Athletic
Tilbury 1 - 0 Harlow Town
9:35pm
Stuart Thurgood is then booked for dissent
9:34pm
Great save from Hughes after Sam Higgins breaks clear and manages to get a shot away with the ball at an awkward height.
Then Thurgood forces a very good save out of Justham in the Rocks goal.
9:33pm
Harry Cook is replaced by Jamar Dobson. He scored on his debut on Saturday.
9:30pm
Rocks defending a minimal Thurrock threat well at the moment. It's not particlularly pretty at times, but it's very effective. Fleet have barely had a shot on goal.
9:29pm
Lawson booked for kicking the ball away after offside is given against him
9:26pm
Quality from Sam Higgins. He shows great strength and skill to hold off to Thurrock defenders before shooting just over from 25 yards.
9:25pm
Great volley across goal by Lewwis Spence goes just wide of the far post. Think Fleet are sensing a goal. Rocks have been up against it in the last 10 minutes. 15 to go here.
9:23pm
Green then feeds the ball into Paxman, who carries the ball across the box before having his shot blocked. A lot more urgency in the visitors play now.
9:22pm
Better from Fleet. Spence then Green opt to be a little more direct, Green's speculative shot is blocked.

9:20pm
Thurgood shoots wide for Fleet now. A long way wide, too. That's the closest Thurrock have come...
9:20pm
It looks like Grffin has gone to centre half and Turpin up front.
As Ruel runs in from the right and shoots low. Just wide. The closest we've come to a goal in this second half.
9:18pm
Ben Smith coming off for Thurrock now. He's being replaced by Frank Griffin
9:16pm
Sam Higgins wins a free kick after Jeffries first, then Spence go in on the Rocks striker. Higgins lines it up this time.
He strikes it really well but it's just over from 30 yards out.
9:14pm
Lawson almost sets Higgins in on goal, but Hughes rushes off his line to clear.
9:11pm
Kye Ruel on for David Bryant. He's played well for Rocks.
9:08pm
Great run by Bryant but he over does it and Jeffries nicks the ball away from him. Better from the home side now who haven't seen much of the ball in the second period. They've not come under much threat though.
9:05pm
Good effort from Collins, but well saved and watched by Hughes.
9:05pm
It's a very scrappy game at the moment with ball in the air a lot. Nice skill by Bryant and Rocks have a free kick in a dangerous position. Collins over it, 30 yards from goal.
9:01pm
Thurrock monopolising possessions. Still no final ball, or test of Justham. East Thurrock have everyone behind the ball bar Higgins.
8:57pm
Good start to the second half from Thurrock. Looking positive, but they've got to go for this now with a man advantage. Still lacking a final ball and more decisively, that little bit of quality needed to get behind this Rocks defence.
8:53pm
Second half kicks off
8:52pm
Reiss Gilbey coming off, Ross Parmenter coming on.
8:51pm
Players are back out for the second half.
8:48pm
119 here tonight, making it the worst attended Thurrock league derby of the season.
8:43pm
Scores from elsewhere:
Tilbury 0 - 0 Harlow Town
Witham Town 0 - 1 Aveley
Redbridge 0 - 0 Grays Athletic
8:37pm
EAST THURROCK UNITED 1 - 0 THURROCK
8:35pm
Half time: Tilbury 0 - 0 Harlow Town
8:34pm
Better from Fleet, playing probing passes in the Rocks final third, keeping it simple. Until Green misplaces a pass out wide.
8:33pm
Thurrock have had the ball in decent areas but have struggled to find a final ball. Rocks on the otherhand are making decent territory count and playing some great throughballs. The latest is from Higgins, with Lawson giving chase.
8:29pm
Chance for Green to put a ball in the box now. Right on the right-hand byline, but played straight into Justham's arms.
8:24pm
Rocks back on the front foot again, despite now being down to ten men.
8:21pm
Charlie Stimson is being subbed now. Replaced by Jack Paxman.
Obviously can't be trusted on a yellow card.
8:20pm
It looks like Cook is going to come back on. He went down like he's been shot and writhed around on the floor in pain. A little bit of play acting?
8:17pm
Ooh things have got a little nasty.
Cook is down and clearly in a lot of distress following a challenge.
Sammons has been shown a straight red card.
Collis and Stimson are both then booked for their part in the scuffle that followed. Cook is still being treated.
8:14pm
Long ball into the box goes straight out. They don't like the ball in the air, exclaims Covo.
Collis then fires a fabulous shot travelling into the top right, saved expertly by Hughes.
8:11pm
GOAL! Witham Town 0 vs 1 Aveley: Junior Appiah 21'
— @AveleyFC 05 March 2013
8:10pm
Rocks breaking away with a lot of pace. Thurrock struggling to handle it at the moment. They've not registered a shot on target yet.
8:07pm
Very good first touch on the edge of the box from Gilbey, he then laid the ball wide to Collins who beat Onyemah, firing a low cross into the box that was turned in. It might have come off Turpin last (he put his hands on his head) but Bryant has been awarded the goal by the Rocks faithful
8:05pm
GOAL!! EAST THURROCK 1 - 0 Thurrock - Turpin OG, 18'
7:59pm
Grays have already missed a penalty at Redbridge. Bunce culprable. Rumours, too, that Redbridge are playing a sine die'd player...
7:58pm
But the ball flies straight out of play. Good start from John Coventry's men here.
7:55pm
Hughes is caught out by a Rocks shot from the right. He palms the ball over, conceding Fleet's fifth corner of the game.
7:53pm
Break in play here as Stimson receives some treatment.
But then a great attack by Rocks leads to the ball being played out wide to Collins in space. He takes the ball into the box, but his low shot is saved by Hughes.
Rocks looking far more threatening in the opening five minutes.
7:52pm

7:46pm
The teams are out then, a real cracker in store tonight!
7:45pm
Interesting to note the that Thurrock are unchanged from Saturday, bar the omission of Harry Honesty who failed a fitness test before the game.
7:38pm

Justham; Sammons, Stephens, Peddie, Sheehan; Collis, Lawson, Gibey, Collins; Higgins, Bryant.

7:27pm
East Thurrock currently sit 13th in the league, and were boosted by a very decent away win over Kingstonian on Saturday. Meanwhile, Thurrock, who have accumulated a big backlog of fixtures, lie second from bottom.
Incidentally, both sides put in season-best performances on Saturday. Thurrock were terrific in their 3-0 win over Harrow Borough.
7:24pm
Tonight our featured game is Thurrock vs East Thurrock United. This is the first meeting between these two sides in the league this season.
The last time they met was in the FA Trophy second qualifying round. It needed a replay and extra time to split them, with Thurrock winning eventually.
7:21pm
Good evening and welcome to the Thurrock Gazette's LIVE non-league coverage.
I'm at Rookery Hill AND remarkably, it's actually quite warm. For the first time in a long time, i'm not going to need to defrost before going home later!
