THIS is the moment a raider, armed with a knife, was captured robbing a bookmakers.

The Gazette previously told how two men burst into the Ladbrokes’ betting store on Calcutta Road, Tilbury.

The raiders, one of which was armed with a knife, threatened staff before fleeing with cash stolen from the till.

Detectives, probing the robbery, have released CCTV images of one of the raiders who is clearly brandishing knife.

Witnesses to the robbery, which happened at 7.30pm on Monday February 4, can contact PC James Boyce at Grays CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
