Onegin opera set for cinema

A LAKESIDE cinema will screen a live performance of an opera. Eugene Onegin will be shown at the Vue cinema via satellite on February 20 at 7.15pm.
It tells the tale of a selfish hero who regrets his rejection of a young woman’s love.
Dave Pearce, film programmer at Vue Entertainment, said: “Following the recent success of La Boheme, from the Royal Opera House, and Aida, from the Metropolitan Opera House, we’re sure audiences will be just as excited to witness the deep emotional scenes of Eugene Onegin.”
