A WORKER at a betting shop was threatened with a knife by a pair of armed robbers.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the armed robbery in Calcutta Road, Tilbury, on Monday, February 4.
Two men went into Ladbrokes at about 7.30pm, one armed with a knife, and threatened an employee.
An Essex Police spokeswoman said one man jumped over the counter and stole money from the till before both men fled the store on foot along Calcutta Road in the direction of Ottawa Road.
The suspects were both wearing their hoods up and scarves covering their faces.
Anyone with any information or who saw these men hanging around the area before the robbery should contact PC James Boyce at Grays CID on 101.
Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
