£3million new gate for terminal

A NEW gate costing £3million has been fitted at the London Container Terminal in Tilbury.

The fully automated gate will let vehicles in at the container port’s reception.

Perry Glading, chief operating officer of Forth Ports, which owns the terminal and the Port of Tilbury, said: “This strategic investment in a new single reception gate is key to the running of LCT.

“I’m delighted the construction is complete. LCT is the only UK port serving both deep sea and short sea customers and our investment will ensure customers continue to receive a highly efficient service.”
