Bin collections update

THURROCK Council believes it may be able to carry out some rubbish collections tomorrow and the rest of the week.

A spokesman for the authority said that while brown bins, for kitchen and garden waste, have been suspended until Monday, people whose blue and green bins were due to be collected today and yesterday are asked to leave them out and "the council will endeavour to collect them by the end of Saturday".
 

The spokesman added: "People whose collections for recycling or residual waste are due on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday are asked to put their bins out as normal the council will we will endeavour to collect them on the due day."

The council will post updates online on the "Ready For Winter" section on its website www.thurrock.gov.uk.
