FOLLOWING hours of snow on Sunday, many schools across Thurrock have decided not to open.

See below for a list of schools that have confirmed they will be CLOSED today, Monday, January 21. If information for the school you're looking for is not below then either assume the school is open, or contact them directly.

Any secondary schools not mentioned below are open as normal.

Several schools are OPEN, but have pushed back start times to allow staff extra time to get in, these are:

St Clere's (10.40am, unless pupils are sitting GCSE exams, then the school is open at normal time), Hassenbrook (9.45am), Ockendon Academy and Studio School (9.30am), Giffards Primary School (10am), Tudor Court (10am).

Primary and Secondary Schools CLOSED, as of 7.15am:

Aveley, Benyon, Deneholm, Kenningtons, Manor, Pupil Referal Unit, Stifford Clays, Woodside, Grays Convent, Stanford-Le-Hope Primary, Belmont Castle (Stifford Primary), Arthur Bugler (junior and infants), St Thomas of Canterbury, Grays School Media Arts College, Holy Cross, Beacon Hill, Treetops, Abbots Hall.

Thurrock Council is also suspending all bin collections today.
