10:25pm

East Thurrock have a host of late chances, including Collins cross which bounced off the top of the bar, but Thurrock hold out.

Immense performance from Matt Turpin - who bags two late headed goals to send Thurrock through.

They'll face Brackley Town here in the next round. Mark Stimson doesn't do losing in the FA Trophy, does he?

Thanks for following this evening.

What a game. What a night.

Good night!

10:16pm

GAME OVER!

10:15pm

Matt Turpin, phenomenal at the back today, has just headed home Leroy Griffiths corner at the back post. His second, Thurrock's fourth. Remarkable stuff.

10:14pm

GOOOOOOALLLLL! THURROCK 4 - 3 East Thurrock United - Matt Turpin

10:11pm

Wow. Just wow. Matt Turpin heads home Woodward's corner to draw Fleet level with minutes remaining.

They're on the attack again now.

10:10pm

GOOOOOOALL!! THURROCK 3 - 3 East Thurrock - Matt Turpin

10:08pm

Corner for Fleet. Five minutes to go!

10:06pm

BIG CHANCE FOR FLEET! Great ball in Honesty from the left, but Stimson's glancing header goes just wide of the far post.

10:05pm

The game's gone a bit quiet. I hope Thurrock haven't run out of steam!

10:03pm

Hakeem Araba off for ETU, Ross Parmenter on.

10:01pm

Thurrock sub:

Jack Jefferies off, Frank Griffin on

9:58pm

All goals have been scored at one end... the end that Thurrock are kicking at this half. Will there be another in there?

No mucking about here, switch ends and the game's back underway immediately.

9:57pm

Half time in extra time!

9:55pm

Still a long way to go here.

East Thurrock don't do easy cup wins. Remember?

9:54pm

Great chance for Rocks to wrap it up. Araba heads the ball back across goal and on the other post, Collins is just unable to turn the ball in.

9:52pm

A great chance for Thurrock now, as Wanadio hares down the right. He cuts it back to Stimson who takes a touch, before shooting across goal but wide.

9:51pm

Super corner by Ryan Sammons is headed home at the back post by Gorbell! 3-2!

9:50pm

GOAL!! Thurrock 2 - 3 EAST THURROCK UNITED - Mark Gorbell 99'

9:49pm

Collins fires a free-kick from 30 yards into the wall, before Reiss Gilbey's cross come shot almost catched Hughes out. The Thurrock stopper shows cat-like reflexes to tip it over...

9:47pm

So Tilbury progress in the county cup but Grays are out of the FA Trophy at the hands of Whitehawk.

9:46pm

9:45pm

Thurrock deal with it again.

Then for the upteenth time, Wanadio beats Stephen down the left before winning a free-kick. It comes to nothing though.

Frantic start to extra time!

9:43pm

Early pressure from Rocks with a corner and free kick. Thurgood heads clear.

Ball comes in from the opposite side, and Newby lashes the ball against Jones ahead. Corner...

9:41pm

Extra time is underway!

9:41pm

9:41pm

Two halves of 15 minutes. If there's still no winner, then it's penalties!

Last week it was ETU who prvoided the heroics, this week its Thurrock.

2-2, with second half goals from Griffiths and Stimson!

9:38pm

That huge save from Hughes is one of the last moments in the game!

It's extra time!

9:36pm

Seconds to play.

OH WHAT A CHANCE! Hughes saves as Newby plays the ball in and Araba volleys from 10 yards. Sensational stop.

The corner comes in, its cleared, but Newby's cross in is then headed just wide by Gorbell.

9:32pm

Newby into the near post, Hughes behind. Corner. Tense moments here as ETU apply pressure.

The corner is into Hughes arms.

9:31pm

Little break in play as Turpin receives some treatment. Turpin's been booked now though and ETU have a free-kick in a dangerous position. Great chance to cross. Thurrock without the sidelined Turpin, too, here.

9:29pm

9:27pm

Great chance for Fleet!!

Super counter attack by Thurrock. The ball winds up with Wanadio, who on the run, lets the ball run across him, before firing just over from 15 yards.

9:24pm

Still 1-0 at Rush Green! Can Grays muster a comeback?

9:23pm

9:22pm

So a week after East Thurrock's FA Cup heroics, is this now going to go the distance like that game did?

Luke Wanadio has been immense tonight. Tom Stephen hasn't been able to cope with his pace or direct style.

The Thurrock fans have sung all night. Pleased for them that Fleet have turned this round.

9:18pm

They've drawn level!! Fantastic stuff from Fleet and a really good goal by Stimson.

Woodward's low shot was blocked, but the ball wound up in the box and with Stimson. He had his back to goal, but battled and tgot the ball out of his feet before then turning Gorbell inside out and firing home from six yards.

Great goal.

9:15pm

GOAL! THURROCK 2 - 2 East Thurrock United - Charlie Stimson

9:13pm

This game's finely balanced now. Thurrock looking good value, but Rocks always a threat on the counter attack.

9:09pm

Hakeem Araba is on for Sam Higgins, who looks like he might have pulled his hamstring. That change came as Thurrock celebrated their goal.

9:07pm

Terrific goal by Griffiths. He had the fans singing his name as he came on earlier, and he's repaid their faith!

Great stuff by Stimson to dispossess Sammons on the edge of the box. The ball spurned loose, and with Wray off his line, Griffiths chipped the ball superbly into the goal.

GAME ON!

9:06pm

GOAL! THURROCK 1 - 2 East Thurrock Utd - Leroy Griffiths

8:58pm

Thurrock seeing a lot of the ball in the early part of this half. Need a goal soon though, if they're to stand any chance later.

8:57pm

More great stuff from Wanadio, super skill to beat Stephen and Hall in the middle. His cross is good too but Jones passes up the opportunity to shoot.

8:55pm

8:54pm

Good effort from Newby as ETU spring off on the counter attack. Ball is played right to him, he shoots early from 35-odd yards, with Hughes off his line. But shot is over the bar.

8:50pm

Callum Ibe comes off at half-time for Harry Honesty.

Ibe anonymous in first half!

8:49pm

We're off in second half

8:48pm

Teams are back out!

8:46pm

Correction:

Tilbury 5 - 0 Basildon United

8:45pm

Half time scores from elsewhere:

FA Trophy replay:

Grays Athletic 0 - 0 Whitehawk

Essex County Cup:

Tilbury 4 - 0 Basildon United

8:42pm

So, Rocks 2-0 up - Fleet looking a little down and out but squandered a great chance to get one back moments before half-time.

Collins with both the goals. The second was a fantastic team move!

8:34pm

HALF TIME

8:31pm

8:31pm

How Fleet haven't scored there, I do not know.

Ball comes in from Jones, Wanadio heads it back across goal at the far post, Stimson, from four yards sends a diving header at Wray who saves but spills. Stimson comes in again, Wray prods it out to Wanadio who, from 3 yards and to the left of the post, lashes the ball wide. Crazy!

8:26pm

8:25pm

Super goal from Rocks. Excellent one touch passing on the edge of the Fleet area, with Hall, Ruel, Higgins all involved. Collins was eventually picked out, with loads of time in the box, just to the left of the goal. He took a touch and fired low beyond Hughes to make it 2-0.

8:24pm

GOAL! Thurrock 0 - 2 EAST THURROCK - Sam Collins

8:23pm

Fleet enjoying a good spell at the moment. Wanadio at the heart of all their good work.

8:19pm

Great stuff again from Wanadio. He's causing Stephen all manner of problems. He collects the ball, runs at Stephen, lays it across to Griffiths who returns, but neither he or Stimson can finish.

8:17pm

Thurrock working hard, but Wanadio's half chance shot is the closest they've come to an equaliser. East Thurrock always look dangerous going forward. Collins and Higgins peppering the goal, but not come too close to doubling their lead just yet.

8:14pm

8:12pm

Charlie Stimson gets a ticking off for taking out Wray. As in tackling him late, not taking him to dinner!

Let off for Gilbey, who, seconds earlier had been crowded out in his own half.

8:08pm

Nice play by Luke Wanadio. Stimsons pass just about makes it out to him on the right, he runs at Stephen jinks inside, and leathers a low shot which Wray awkwardly punches clear.

Seconds later, Wanadio does the same thing, but this time his shot spirals high and wide.

Good response from Fleet who are imposing themselves a bit more now.

8:05pm

So Fleet will need to show some of the spirit they showed against Margate last week.

They're not out of it by any stretch, but this is a notable better, high-tempo performance from Rocks already.

8:04pm

Lewis Perkins is coming off for Thurrock. He's replaced by Leroy Griffiths. Injured.

8:03pm

Kamikaze defending by Turpin, who carries the ball, under-pressure across the edge of his own box, loses control of it, and Sam Collins slides the ball into the bottom right corner from 18-yards.

8:01pm

GOAL! Thurrock 0 - 1 EAST THURROCK UNITED - Sam Collins

8:00pm

Higgins cuts in from the left, and has a low shot deflected over.

Corner for Rocks is short by Gilbey and cleared in the end!

7:58pm

Both are ok, and the game resumes at this early frantic pace!

Goals are coming...

7:56pm

Aerial clash between Turpin and Ruel has left Ruel floored and both needing treatment.

7:55pm

Thurrock getting on the ball a little more now. Stimson, who was excellent on Saturday is working hard up top. He might fancy his chances against Rocks fourth choice centre half (Gorbell).

7:52pm

Good tempo to the game early on. Rocks looking sharper than they did on Saturday.

Ruel has just volleyed a half cleared free kick over the bar, it almost caught Hughes out though!

7:48pm

Bright start from Rocks, whose players have talked of getting one over Fleet all day on Twitter.

Kris Newby fires a cross-come-shot at goal, but Higgins is offside as he makes on to it. The ball goes wide anyway.

7:47pm

So £4,000 and a home tie with Blue Sq North side Brackley awaits!

7:45pm

We're underway at Ship Lane!

7:45pm

7:37pm

We're all set and ready to go then.

Teams are in for final prep! We're just awaiting their arrival now.

Very excited about this!

7:33pm

Just to talk you through those then:

Jack Jefferies comes in at centre back for Fleet, with Griffin making way, Lewis Perkins and Callum Ibe come in for Harry Honesty and Mark Odah.

For Rocks, Mark Gorbell stands in for the injured Spencer Harrison, who came off with a tennis ball-sized lump on his forehead on Saturday. Matt Hall is in at centre-mid in place of Ross Parmenter and Ruel is in ahead of Araba up top!

7:30pm

Here are the teams tonight then:

Thurrock:

Hughes; Jones, Walster, Jefferies, Turpin; Thurgood (c), Woodward, Wanadio, Perkins; Ibe, Stimson

Subs: Honesty, Viner, Griffin, Onyenmah, Griffiths

East Thurrock United:

Wray; Sammons, Stephen, Peddie, Gorbell; Hall, Gilbey, Newby, Collins; Ruel, Higgins

Subs: Araba, Keith, Frost, Parmenter, Riley.

7:25pm

So when the two sides met on Saturday at Rookery Hill, East Thurrock toook the lead through Sam Higgins in the 30th minute, but Charlie Stimson, our man-of-the-match, headed Thurrock level mid-way through the second half to take it to this.

We have a belter of a game in prospect here!

7:18pm

This live feed always seems to start with a weather observation. I have no idea why, but it does. So today, we'll not start with a local weather report, rather, a commentary of the fact we aren't starting with a weather report!

Good evening. And welcome to the Thurrock Gazette's live coverage of this second helping of Thurrock non-league drama!
