Firework displays to light up the skies

THE sky above Orsett Showground is set to be lit up as the annual fireworks display comes to the village.

There will be a display and two huge bonfires at the venue, off Rectory Road, on Sunday, November 4, and Monday, November 5.

There will also be a funfair to enjoy on both nights.

A spokesman for Showground UK said: “We’re delighted to be able to add a Sunday event again.

“We’re happy to do this for the people of Thurrock and we hope everyone enjoys the show.”

The bonfire and displays will start around 7.30pm on both nights. Entry is £6, reduced to £2 for children under-five and free for OAPs. Gates open at 5.30pm.

The Pegasus Club, in Herd Lane, Corringham, is also hosting a display on Monday, November 5, from 7pm. Tickets are £4 in advance, £5 on the night.
