New era for Tilbury's cruise terminal

THE Port of Tilbury London Limited has restored its grade two listed Cruise Terminal to its former glory.

It was officially reopened on Wednesday April 30 with over 250 guests in attendance and is now set to be a landmark venue in the borough.

The art deco building, which has a capacity for more than 500 guests, is now available for functions, including weddings, charity balls, themed events, exhibitions, corporate entertaining and concerts.

Managing director for the Port of Tilbury, Perry Glading, said: "The Port of Tilbury is pleased to support the re-launch of the London Cruise Terminal as a major event facility in Thurrock and to see the fantastic art deco building being used to its full capacity as a function venue, as well as still catering for the many cruise visits the terminal receives each year."

The Port have commissioned Serendipity Event Management Ltd to act on their behalf with regard to future events at the Cruise Terminal.

Serendipity already work throughout Essex and London at various venues, including the Henry pub in Aveley.
