MP Since - 2010 Majority - 92 Born - 05/08/1969. Single.
Education - Notre Dame High School, Durham University (Economics).
Previous Occupation - Public Policy/Government Relations. Policy Adviser, Financial Services Consumer Panel - organisation attempts to secure improved consumer treatment from financial institutions.
Personal Overview - Originally from Sheffield she now lives in Purfleet within her new Parliamentary constituency. Her performance in capturing, for only the second time, Thurrock from the Labour Party is reflective of the resurgence enjoyed by the Conservatives in the South East, all but wiping out Labour entirely in the South East outside London. A local campaigner for the Tories in the area she now will need to draw extensively on her skills and contacts to preserve her Westminster membership: Labour will certainly look no further than Thurrock when plotting their political recovery. She has the advantage at least of beating a very strong local Labour candidate in Carl Morris at the 2010 Election.
Political History - Long term political campaigner for the Conservatives for over 20 years, Member for Thurrock (2010-). Member of the Public Accounts Committee (2010-).
Characteristics - Collector of unusual silver jewellery. Keen reader and soap watcher. Also enjoys pop concerts and the theatre.
