Cowell plaster causes intrigue

Simon Cowell sparked rumours that he may have gone under the knife after he was spotted with a mystery plaster behind his ear.

The image-conscious X Factor judge - who has previously admitted to getting Botox treatments - was snapped with the plaster while driving down LA's Sunset Boulevard.

But a source close to the music mogul insisted to The Sun that he had "accidentally cut himself".

Another source was quoted as telling Us Weekly: "Simon cut himself by accident. It's not surgery."

Simon returned to the judging panel of X Factor USA this week following a bout of bronchitis.

Pal and UK X Factor star Louis Walsh kept the star's seat warm for the Kansas auditions, where he joined judges Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and LA Reid.
