HE’S a prolific name in house music and Robbie Rivera will be touching down at new superclub Evoke in Chelmsford for a special set this weekend.
Puerto Rican by birth, he’s well known for working Latin and garage influences into his tribal and progressive house mixes.
Releasing his first track El Sorullo when he was still at college studying music production, it was an instant hit in Miami and New York and his career was set on track for the top.
His 2000 track Bang went straight to number one in the UK dance charts and became one of the soundtrack songs to the Sydney Olympics.
With appearances on Top of the Pops and MTV as well as his own record label Juicy under his belt, he’s one of the biggest names on the scene and he’ll be DJing live from Evoke this Friday.
