THE group continues to grow from strength to strength with the January meeting being well attended by existing members, and many new faces very much in evidence.

The meeting, at the Beacon Centre, Drake Road, featured guest speaker Tricia Gurnett, who captivated her audience with a history of our very own Westminster Parliamentary buildings.

Tricia had worked as a government researcher and had an excellent knowledge of the subject. Discussions followed with regards to fundraising plans and future campaigns.

President Ann Milne gave some guidance as to the WI principles and expectations. The next meeting will be on Thursday, February 11, at the same venue.
