A MEETING of more than 40 members all agreed that the outing to Brick Lane Music Hall was excellent and wanted to go again.
Doreen started the usual way with exercises, how well this idea has gone down.
The next item was a talk and slide show by Gerry Cook, from Thurrock Mind, who explained her role in helping people who go through illness or suffer from depression.
The help and assistance one can get brightens their life. This talk was very well received by sufferers and carers alike.
After refreshments Fred Seal, trustee of the Grays Public Purpose and Recreational Charity, spoke of the various local organisations which the charity had assisted during its existence.
He then presented a cheque to Frank Price, chairman of the group, which has enabled us to upgrade our PA system.
The new committee was introduced and a newsletter is in the process of being printed for the Christmas meeting.
Anyone with any articles suitable for future issues should hand them to Margaret, it is hoped to print the newsletter quarterly.
The meeting closed with the usual exercises. The next meeting is on Thursday, December 2. Enquiries – 01375 370276.
