OK, happy to admit I am a little out of my depth here – either that or waaay too old to fully appreciate the intricacies of a new Nintendo DS game called iCarly.

So, from what I can make out, and you will need to check with your six-year-old here, Carly and Sam have a show within a show on kids’ TV channel Nickelodeon.

It is full of bouncing, colours, shouting, and screaming, and fun, and colours, and shouting, and looking at cameras shouting, and colours.

Think that about covers it. All the things that will keep the attention of a youngster – and if they start to even think about looking at something else, there will be more colours and shouting.

And to the game. More colours, and some shouting. Puzzles, dance moves, and having an awesome time with three buddies. Best friends it says on the box, but really, any decent pal will do.

The premise of the game is their latest web show has been deleted. By a parent with colour and shouting overload? Anyway, you need to help them go Live by creating a new web show from scratch.

So it’s a nice idea, and gives the little brats, erm, children, something constructive to do while they are learning you have to shout to make things seem correct.
