Job Title: Distribution Controller
Part time (20 hours) Monday - Friday 3.30pm - 7.30pm

Newsquest (Essex) Ltd is part of England’s largest regional newspaper publisher, with an expanding portfolio of newspapers, websites and magazines.

The Role:

You will be part of a team of 10 District Controllers each of whom manage Distributors, who deliver the local free papers and leaflets to homes and businesses in the area.

The role will be based at our local office, but a large proportion of working hours will be spent with our Distributors, who work from home. As this role involves contact with young people, it is subject to CRB disclosure.

The Person

You live in the Basildon, Wickford or Billericay area.
You are enthusiastic and have a positive personality.
You are extremely organised and an excellent communicator, with great attention to detail.
You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team and used to working to deadlines.
You have a flexible approach to work and be able to use your initiative to solve problems.
You have the use of a car or other suitable vehicle and a clean driving licence.

Ideally you will be computer literate and have previous experience of door to door delivery.

Duties will include:

Recruiting, training and motivating distributors.
Dealing with customer queries and complaints.
Ensuring 100% distribution efficiency is maintained.
General administrative tasks relating to these duties.

Working Hours:

20 per week
5 hours per day 1.30pm to 6.30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

£7,800
