LET me ask you four simple questions.

Overall, how satisfied are you with your life nowadays? Overall, how happy did you feel yesterday? Overall, how anxious did you feel yesterday? Overall, to what extent do you feel the things you do in your life are worthwhile?

If you’re really on the ball, you might recognise these from the Office of National Statistics’ Wellbeing survey that took place earlier this year. It seems from that people who feel least happy live in Thurrock!

This news was shared with us by the Gazette and the Guardian recently.

Well, what do you think Thurrock? Are you really that unhappy? Or did the survey just catch you on a bad day?

Most of the people I bump into think Thurrock is a great place to live with lots of potential and an exciting future.

But don’t just take my word for it. Speak to the leaders of the two main parties at Thurrock Council. Councillors Phil Anderson or John Kent will inspire you. Or ask our borough’s chief executive Graham Farrant. He knows we’re going places!

Log on to www.transformation thurrock.com and read how our borough is being transformed through prayer and community involvement. God loves Thurrock and He loves you too!

And if you think those words are just pious platitudes then really ask yourself again those four questions above. Then write to me or to the Gazette and let us know.

Come on people, let’s hear it for a happy, satisfied and worthwhile Thurrock! – JOHN.
