TWENTY-eight of our members and one guest attended our February meeting.
Margaret Willis was our bubbly speaker for the evening. She was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding all horticultural matters and gave us some handy tips.
She speedily completed two winter hanging baskets using hardy bedding plants.
One basket was with multi-coloured violas and the other with a selection of pink primroses. These wonderful baskets were donated as raffle prizes.
Members were also reminded of our future outings to Harrods, Windsor Castle for the Diamond Jubilee pageant and a midweek summer holiday in Wales.
Visitors are always very welcome. We meet at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month in the Village Hall.
Our speaker for next month is a member of the Salvation Army who will give us an insight into how it is working as a chaplain in prisons.
