PRESIDENT Margaret Camp welcomed the owner Debbie Wiseman and her team of hairdressers Jayne Sach and Beverly Sanderson from the Classic Hair Company Salon in Tilbury.
Debbie’s salon has won the Thurrock Business Awards five times and also an Investors in People award. Apart from their normal trimming and cutting, anyone who has hair loss can go here knowing they will be helped.
A coffee morning given by Joanne Phillips for the MacMillan Nurses cancer charity raised £205.
A Christmas meal is being arranged for December 3. At next April’s spring group meeting the exhibition is Scouts and Guides memorabilia and each institute is to also be asked to knit clothes for premature babies.
The evening ended with a craft session presented by Denise Nice.
The competition, autumn, was won by Rose Phillips. Raffle prizes were won by Denise Nice and Clare Gale.
