Council's headstones hypocrisy
THIS council seems to be very good at laying down the law when it comes to regulation of headstone heights, but it cannot keep its own house in order when it comes to the maintence of cemeteries in Thurrock. read more

Good things, but not for me
YOUR chief reporter Lucy Kirby is right to point out (It’s just plain wrong, Gazette, August 4) there are good things about living in Thurrock despite what the Government’s so-called “happiness survey” – and a subsequent Guardian newspaper article – might have suggested. read more

INSTEAD of Thurrock Council considering buying the State Cinema with a proposal of turning it into a leisure centre for the priviliged few, how about spending their money on new houses in Thurrock? read more

Contractors were great
I WOULD like to commend H. Wilson Ltd, which is contracted by Thurrock Council to carry out refurbishment to council properties for the outstanding work carried out to my home this month. read more
