A WOMAN whose world has been turned upside down by cancer is hosting a charity event to raise awareness. Mother-of-three Cheryl King, from Broxburn Drive, South Ockendon, was diagnosed with breast cancer on November 19 last year at Southend Hospital.

AN INDEPENDENT police force has been appointed to review the original investigation into a man who was found dead in a cement mixer. Lee Balkwell, 33, was crushed in a mixing lorry at Baldwins Farm, near South Ockendon, in July 2002.
