SO, it’s a fond farewell to another Christmas, and a big hello to the latest New Year – starting today with renewed hopes and dreams.
Many of us will have made NewYear resolutions.
And, if there’s ever a group of people who needed to make a collective change for the better, then it has to be those irresponsible parents causing unnecessary mayhem at the Harris Primary Academy, in Chafford Hundred.
Youknowwho you are – and you need to change.
As today’s front page reveals, the selfish actions of a few are causing serious concerns for many.
The biggest worry is that, sooner or later, a child may dart out from behind one of the illegally-parked cars and get hurt.
And there’s the real possibility the popular 33 bus route could be diverted, too, as drivers just can’t get by the badly parked cars in the mornings.
If you’re one of these parents, then I think 2015 is the year for you to start leaving the car at home and time to start walking the children to school.
And, if you really must drive, then park properly.
The problem here is there’s potential for a catastrophic consequence, which doesn’t bear thinking about.
Let us all do our best to make it a safe as well as a happy New Year.
